Johnson & Johnson MedTech is the medical device arm of Johnson & Johnson, the world’s largest healthcare products company. It focuses on cultivating innovations in surgery, orthopedics, vision, and interventional systems to make healthcare systems smarter, less invasive, and more personalized.

J&J MedTech’s portfolio of companies includes Biosense Webster, which offers a range of medical devices aimed at those with cardiac arrhythmias, CERENOVUS, which focuses on devices targeting people who have suffered from strokes, and Johnson & Johnson Vision, which focuses on devices to address the eye health needs of patients around the world.

At RoboBusiness, which takes place on October 18-19 in Santa Clara, CA, Tom Salemi, the Editorial Director of DeviceTalks, will sit down for an interview with Hani Abouhalka, the Company Group Chairman of Robotics & Digital Surgery at Johnson & Johnson MedTech. The two will discuss the future of surgical robotics at Johnson & Johnson Medtech.

Abouhalka has over 23 years of experience at Johnson & Johnson. His previous roles at the company include Company Group Chairman of Medical Devices EMA, Vice President of Strategy Development and Global Operations, and Vice President of Medical Devices EMEA Emerging Markets, among others.

At Johnson & Johnson, Abouhalka has proven his abilities to develop and implement strategic plans across the medical devices industry, manage cross-functional teams, and lead business to exceed business results.

RoboBusiness is the leading event focused on developing commercial robots. There will be 60-plus speakers, 100-plus exhibitors and demos on the expo floor, networking receptions, the Pitchfire Robotics Startup Competition and more. You can check out the current list of speakers, to which more will be added.

RoboBusiness will be co-located with the Field Robotics Engineering Forum, an event focused on successfully developing robots that operate in wide-ranging, outdoor, dynamic environments.

Also co-located with RoboBusiness is DeviceTalks West, the premier industry event for medical technology professionals, currently in its ninth year. Both events attract engineering and business professionals from a broad range of healthcare and medical technology backgrounds.
